Artel Kenya offers affordable internet plans in new data campaign

Start

Airtel Kenya has launched โ€œData ImeData Campaign,โ€ offering their Weekly and Monthly data customers up to 50 per cent more data at price points ranging from Sh50 to Sh1000. As Kenyans approach the festive season, this is a Christmas offer that aims to offer them affordable, reliable and convenient data services.

The Amazing Data Weekly and Monthly customers will enjoy increased data offerings at the same price points as before, experiencing enhanced online experiences and seamless connectivity. Data ImeData Campaign addresses the growing data needs of customers, giving them more data for the same price. With Airtelโ€™s ongoing network expansion for 4G and 5G networks across the country, users can now enjoy a faster and uninterrupted digital experience.

Airtel Kenya Managing Director, Mr. Ashish Malhotra commented on the launch, stating, โ€œOver the past few years, we have seen steady growth in data subscription and usage. Our primary goal is to ensure that all our customers consistently enjoy affordable, convenient, and market-leading services that evolve with their needs. As we continue to serve our customers in the digital space, we remain flexible and adaptive to meet their diverse demands. These new data plans are designed to provide enhanced capacity, offering more seamless and reliable connections.โ€

The revamped plans also include Free WhatsApp, allowing customers to stay connected with friends and family at no extra cost. Additionally, customers can gift bundles to other Airtel users and extend bundle validity by purchasing another bundle before the current one expires or selecting the auto-renew option.

According to the Communications Authority of Kenya, data remains a key driver of internet uptake in the country, accounting for 97.2 per cent of total subscriptions. The growing consumer demand for high-speed internet has accelerated the expansion of both 4G and 5G networks across Kenya. As data and internet needs continue to rise, Airtel has constantly introduced innovative products that cater to both voice and data services. As part of this effort, in August, the company launched the โ€˜GB kwa GBโ€™ campaign, encouraging Kenyans to upgrade their phones and experience the enhanced network. This campaign is part of Airtelโ€™s broader efforts to fuel the digital revolution and drive digital inclusion across the country.
