Trade PS Dr Mukhwana launches a book

Permanent Secretary (PS) Dr. Juma Mukhwana, 59, launched an autobiography in a colourful ceremony held at a city club Wednesday, December 11.

The book, titled โ€œMy Passion for Changeโ€, tells the story of Dr. Mukhwana during his early days, the challenges he went through and the resolve he made to overcome them. 

Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi who presided over the event said the book contains critical lessons that are beneficial to individuals and the country at large. The function was also attended by CSs Debra Mulongo (Health) and Salim Mvurya (MITI) as well as PSs John Tanui, Edward Kisiangani, Abubakar Hassan, James Muhati and Ndugu Mwadime.

Dr Mukhwana who started his education at Lurende Primary School, joined St. Maryโ€™s Kibabii High School and University of Nairobi (UoN) before proceeding to United States of America for further studies (PhD).

Among his classmates at the University of Nairobi were; Dr Paul Otuoma, now Busia Governor, Michael Mbito, former Trans-Nzoia Senator, Jeff Kamau a businessman in Karatina and Eddy Njoroge who worked at Unga limited.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangโ€™ula says in addition to being a person with a strong will, Mukhwana is a man constantly upbeat.

โ€œHe is a great a great person and a role model for many,โ€ Wetangโ€™ula says.
