Safaricom has launched an exhibition to boost the growth of at least 100 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through tech and innovation.

Themed “Accelerating MSMEs Growth through Adoption of Technology and Innovation”, in addition to showcasing market solutions and connecting people for scalable projects, the exhibition promotes collaborative efforts to strengthen SMEs and the broader business ecosystem.

According to Safaricom Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Ndegwa, “By working with stakeholders, we aim to create an environment that nurtures innovation, competitiveness, and entrepreneurship.”

Mr Ndegwa expressed optimism about the exhibition’s impact on Kenya’s MSME sector, saying the telco’s primary target is to foster entrepreneurship.

The exhibition features the telco’s “Grow My Business Platform” thereby providing a stage for SMEs to showcase innovative products and services.

It also showcases a vibrant mix of creativity and resilience, with MSME exhibitors representing diverse sectors such as manufacturing, agribusiness, trade, and services.

“We are dedicated to creating spaces where businesses can thrive, contributing to Kenya’s economic and social prosperity. Together, we’ll amplify our efforts, ensuring positive change that benefits all,” Cynthia Kropac, Safaricom’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer, said.
